Rev. Diana Russell and Dr. Steve Russell
Diana graduated from Andrews High School, in Andrews Texas. Then off to West Texas State University in Canyon, with a BA in Teacher Education. She coached girls sports and taught in West Texas, El Paso, Odessa and Midland. She was Teacher of the year in Midland ISD and was awarded the honor of Outstanding leader in Alcohol and Drug intervention, while leading the Drug awareness task force for the district which won not only state recognition but National recognition as well.
That lead to the development of the New Focus Leadership Program which she and Steve led for the next 15 years, winning awards nationwide for outstanding drug intervention prevention programing.
She received her MSSW from UT Arlington, and an additional Masters from Southwestern Baptist Theological School. She is a sought after speaker, bringing a message of hope and healing. Called into the ministry in 1997, soon began Covenant Christian Church in 2002.
Steve graduated from Eastwood High School in El Paso Texas. Later graduating with a BA in Education and a MA in Counseling from Western New Mexico University and seminary at Perkins School of Theology in Dallas. He received His doctorate in Counseling from Northern Illinois University with a specialty in the recovery process from addictions, and doctoral studies at Covenant Seminary in St. Louis MO. He is the author of Internal Management, Living Life on Purpose.
